A chief objective is to work in collaboration with health care professionals and other stakeholders so that every Albertan who may benefit is offered, and supported with, effective cancer prevention interventions and screening within the health care system.

What We Do

We work with health care providers to:

• Support adoption of evidence-based strategies to increase effective cancer prevention, screening and supportive care across the continuum of health care.
• Effectively capture and disseminate useful cancer prevention and screening information to inform point of care decision-making and quality improvement.
• Strengthen continuity of care between acute care, primary care and community settings to improve cancer prevention and screening follow-up.
